SBI Probationary Officer (PO) Syllabus and Exam Pattern

SBI PO Exam Syllabus Details – Every year State Bank of India government jobs are vacant for the SBI Probationary Officer (PO), and a large number of candidates apply for this SBI PO exam. And only those candidates who have appeared for the examination of the SBI Probationary come out successful the examination. The exam is held on the basis of SBI PO Syllabus. Here, we have prepared the SBI Probationary Officer Exam’s Syllabus to assist the interested candidates of PO Exams. The syllabus has been taken from the official notification of SBI PO.

SBI PO Examination’s Syllabus Information is given below:

The following topics are primary in the SBI Probationary Officer Exam, on which the questions can be asked.

The SBI PO exam will be in three Phase.

1. Phase-I : Preliminary Examination
2. Phase–II : Main Examination
3. Phase–III:Group Exercises & Interview

SBI PO PHASE I – PRELIMINARY EXAM

In SBI PO Paper-I having 100 multiple choice questions.

• Time duration for SBI PO Paper -1, 60 Minutes.
• Negative marks of 1/4 Marks in SBI PO Exam.

SBI PO PHASE II – MAIN EXAM

In SBI PO Paper-II having 155 multiple choice questions, and Descriptive Test for 50 marks.

• SBI Probationary Officer will be consisted of 200 marks and,
• Total Time Duration of SBI PO exam is 03:00 hours (180 minutes).

Descriptive Test :-
Descriptive Test – 30 minutes duration with two questions for 50 marks, test will be in English Language (Letter Writing & Essay).

Test will be online on computer, there will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests.

Phase–III: Group Exercises (20 marks) & Interview (30 marks) : Candidates qualifying for GE& Interview under ‘OBC’ category would be required to submit OBC certificate containing the ‘Non Creamy layer’ clause. Candidates who have registered them selves as OBC but do not submit OBC ‘Non Creamy layer’ certificate and request to be interviewed under General category will not be entertained.

Final Selection:- Results of the candidates who qualify for Main Examination and Group Exercise & Interview as well as the final select list will be made available on the Bank’s official website.
SBI PO SYLLABUS and Exam Pattern
Reasoning:- The Questions will be ask form Non Verbal Reasoning may ask in the SBI PO Exam.

English Language:- The Questions will be ask form English language and mainly Focus on the topics like.

• Synonyms,
• Antonyms,
• Sentence Error,
• Sentence correction,
• fill in the blanks,
  Sentence Arrangements/ Word Arrangement,
• Comprehension & Cloze Test nothing can be out of these mentioned Topics etc.
• Comprehension will be lengthy.

DI & Quantitative Aptitude:- Questions will be asked from,

General Knowledge and General Awareness: Questions will be asked from 

Computer Awareness: Questions will be asked from,

Descriptive Test:- This Test will be of Qualifying Type & will be Test of English Language.

• Questions will be ask from Essay writing, precis writing and Letter writing.
• Focus on the: Current News of Finance Sector, National Issues,
• Read Recent Government Scheme & Editorials from the Newspaper.
